Hello world! I've been slacking off again. I don't even remember when I finished reading the book I'm reviewing today! Oh well, that's life for you. Speaking of life, live backwards is evil, what's up with that? Living isn't evil, evil people living is evil. But then not letting evil people live would be murder, and you wouldn't be any better than the living evil people. So the best thing to do is just not be evil. Okay, today's life lesson over. Now it's time to talk about books!
So, I don't remember when I finished Numbers by Rachel Ward, but I do know that it is the first of a trilogy! I also know that WarGames is a really good movie, but that has nothing to do with this. I was just watching it, that's all. Now I'm watching The Day After Tomorrow, so far it's good too. I digress. Remember when I said that the book is called Numbers? Should I have written Num8ers? Because that's what the American edition says it is. Pick whichever one you would like. Here is the Amazon link, go forth and buy.
Summaryish: Snap, this really is a good movie. Twisters destroying the Hollywood sign...fun! But back to the book. It's about this girl, and she can see some pretty crazy numbers. I'm talking about the day you are going to die. And she sees these numbers every time she looks someone in the eye. Naturally, she avoids relationships. But everything changes when she meets a guy named Spider and his grandma. One day, she goes to a place where all the numbers match...and that number is the day she is there...what does it mean? Do you like that suspense inducing rhetorical question? I kind of like those.
Review: WOW! This book was amazing! I was expecting a cute little story about OCD or something, but what I got was way better! I loved it! I loved it so much I'm going to say that again, I loved it! My one complaint is all the bad words. I don't like bad words, that's why all comments on this blog go through me before they hit the Internet, I'm looking out for bad words. Bad words are bad for a reason, they're bad. Which is why I don't like them. So that's the down side to this book. The up side is that it's great! I am especially fond of running from authorities. In stories. I would never do it in real life. Geez, listen to Jack government people.

I Liked The Cover More Than The Book, Is That Bad?
Hello world!! So nice to see you! Can you believe it's been 48 hours already? It seems like just yesterday I was predicting my future as a secret agent. Ah memories. Anyways, today is a special day! I'm not exactly sure why, but if you think about it, everyday is special! Okay, that's all for this paragraph.
So, yesterday I finally finished a book called Matched by Ally Condie, and I'm pretty sure my fantastic aunt recommended this to me! But I can't remember. Maybe it was someone else. It's the first in a series. Well, more like a trilogy. The second book is called Crossed, but the R is backwards, and the third book is called Reached, but the E's don't match. Summaryish: This book is all about a gal who is "Matched" to her best friend, which means she's going to marry him. But, when she sees someone else's face flash on her screen (the one that tells her everything about her Match) her faith in her Society crumbles. Then, she is forced to choose between love and perfection. Phew, that was hard. Let's move on to the next paragraph now.
Review: I was kind of excited about this book, but in the end I was disappointed. It was just a love story with the occasional suspenseful moment about placement in society. And as much as I love a whole society crumbling, it was only crumbling for one person, and it was all in her mind!! No explosions whatsoever! That made me sad. But it is a trilogy, so it might get better. It did kind of pick up at the end.

One Day, I'm Gonna Be A Secret Agent. It's Been Bucket Listed.
Hello! I'm back, with my computer returned to me safely! So I thought very long and hard about this...actually, not very long, and not very hard, but I came to the same result: I am going to review this. Partly because I love reviewing books so much, and partly because I have nothing else to do. So let's get right down to it!
So, I'm pretty sure it was yesterday when I finished a book entitled Domino 29 by Axel Avian, who actually is a spy. But he could be lying. Based on his name, however, I think he should be an aviator, but being an agent is no doubt much more fun. Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's the first in a series, but if it is, no other books have been written in it. Which makes sense, since this book is still pretty new. What am I missing? Aha! Summaryish: Where to begin! Let's start with Colt Shore discovering that his parents aren't his parents and his whole life flips upside down. Then he goes on a secret mission to protect two siblings who have a kidnapping threat over their heads. But then, his mission spirals out of control, and soon his Dominoes of Life and Decisions are falling all over the place. That was a weird sentence. But it's true.
Review: Wowzers! This was a wild ride! From start to finish, I was on the edge of my seat! Or bed, since that's where I read. I rarely ever read in actual chairs. But anyways, back to my review. I Was Just Listening To This Song!
Hey world! Two posts are happening today! Woo! Wait a minute, maybe not, I haven't decided whether the book I may or may not review after this one is too good to review or not. Hmm. Well, I'll just write this post and think about that at the same time! Three cheers for multi-tasking! Although studies show multitasking is bad for your brain and leads to attention and focusing issues. Just something to think about. Okay, books now!
So, somewhere around yesterday I completed a lovely little tale called So Long and Thanks for All the Fish by the ever-amazing Douglas Adams! It is the forth book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy." The sixth book in this trilogy was written by Eoin Colfer, so I may not read that one until I feel the boycott has gone on long enough. The next one in the series is called Mostly Harmless and I'll probably review here later, but for now, you can look here for the book in the series before this one. Last thing for this paragraph, the lovely Amazon link!
Summaryish: So this book is all about how Arthur Dent finally returns home to a mysteriously not-exploded Earth and falls in love with a nice lady. Then some other stuff happens, and he and the nice lady try to figure out where all the dolphins have gone, and why the Earth is still there! They meet a crazy person, and eventually Ford comes back and helps them figure out the mystery. Wow, that was a bad summary, I thought I was getting better at this? Oh well, win some, lose some.
Review: This book was absolutely fantastic! It was oddly less wacky than usual, but it was still wonderfully enjoyable! It was short, which is sad, but it's a series, which is happy! But the series is coming to an end, which is double sad. I can't wait to see what happens next! Someone take me to the library right now! Actually, I still have about 8 books left, so it's not urgent yet.

If I Could Fall Into The Sky Do You Think...I Would Be A Mutant Bird Kid?
Hello there! That's right, I did come back for more. I didn't even think it would actually happen, but the book I'm reviewing now was shorter than I thought it was. Well, maybe it was the same length as I though it would be, but it took shorter to read than I thought it would? I don't know. Sometimes I confuse myself. Anyways, book.
So, literally a few minutes ago, I jotted down the time and date that I finished The Final Warning by James Patterson in my reading log, rated it on a scale of one to three, and dashed over to my laptop. I hope you appreciate the dashing to my laptop part, because I tripped and almost fell in my mad rush to tell the world how I feel about said book. Wow, ever contemplated your feet before? They're very interesting. But anyways, here's the Amazon link, enjoy.
Summaryish: This time around, Max and the gang are recruited to help non-evil scientists study - and maybe even save the world from - the effects of global warming. But, a new villain has made himself known and plans to kidnap and sell the flock to the highest bidder. Speaking of the flock, did I mention they are mutating on their own and getting new skills? Wow. Blogging right after reading something really makes the summaryish easier to write.
Review: I really liked this book. And now to explain why I used a period instead of an explanation mark to punctuate that sentence. The reason is because, although I really super love the book and the series, it's gradually getting more and more wacky. And not lovable-Douglas-Adams-wacky, either, just plain wacky. As in, I really love this but it's hard to believe. Also known as, I'm lost in the story, but the story is losing me. Did that make sense?

I Wish You A Very Jolly June!!
Hello there world!!! Boy has it been a long time! After going twenty four hours without books, I finally made it to the library. I got twelve books! I'm really excited about all of them! This is the first of that twelvogy, I hope you love it!!!
So, sometime around 10 last night, I completed the second book in the Caretakers Trilogy, Whirlwind, by David Klass. I loved the first book so much, that I'm already reading the second one only about four books away from the first one! I feel like I'm missing something...oh yeah! The Amazon Link!
Summaryish: One minute please...Un moment sil-vous-plait...Uno secondo pleaso....Okay, I got it. Last time around, Jack Danielson saved the oceans from the Dark Lord's son. This time, he has to save the Amazon from the Dark Lord himself. But now, the Dark Lord has a grudge, which will make it all the more difficult to defeat him. Plus, the only person even capable of beating TDL (The Dark Lord) has mysteriously vanished off the face of the planet. And then there's the added plot twist that P.J., Jack's girlfriend, is also missing. Beethoven's Fifth should really start playing in the background right about now...
Review: Yowza! I loved this book! It has a great story line, not just likable, but lovable characters, and then there's all the heart-pounding action and suspense. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't seem consistent. The "pace-making sentence fragments" kind of disappear, though that wasn't a tragic loss. Also, when people from Jack's hometown see him again, they don't seem at all surprised that he's **Spoiler alert for those who have not read Firestorm** missing a finger. I also enjoyed all of the alliteration, that was fun to read. So yeah, that's my review.

Hey world! How's it going? Guess what!!!! I now have over 1000 page views!!!!!!! Isn't that exciting? Blogs grow up so fast. Tear. But a happy tear. Anyways, I'm really excited about this post! How Many Different Series Books Can Be In One Series?
Hello world! It's been a while! I'm not sure how long it's been exactly, but I'm positive it's been at least a few days. Anyways, remember when it was my fiftieth review...seems like so long ago now, but it was just about 20 or so books ago, and I reviewed that one book? Well...
So I just finished this book called Saint by Ted Dekker. And it's one of the Books of History. Or is that Chronicles? I don't know, but it's one of those. It's also a Paradise Novel. Explanation: The Books of History is a series made up of three other series books of no particular order, meaning you can read them in any order you want, except for the Lost Books which have an order. Also, the Circle series must be read in a circle, but you can enter anywhere. The novels that I'm up to are the Paradise Novels, you can read them in any order, but it's recommended that you start with Sinner, which was reviewed here. Phew. That was difficult. Oh right, Amazon link.
Summaryish: You know how difficult my last paragraph was? This will be doubly so. Okay...umm...This book is about this guy named Carl who is training to be an assassin, and the people who are training him are playing all these mind games with him. Then he discovers that his name is actually Johnny, and everything he thought he knew was completely fabricated by his tormentors. This discovery leads to an epic confrontation between good and evil. Oh yeah, that was a great summary. I should make all of my summaries like back blurbs.
Review: This was amazing! The non-stop action and heart-attack-inducing suspense were perfectly balanced with all the plot twists and conspiracies. I loved it! It was a fantastic read! Although, it was a very political and that's not really my thing, but it was still great! What else is there to say? Hm. I don't think there is anything. Oh well.

Okay...umm...This book is about this guy named Carl who is training to be an assassin, and the people who are training him are playing all these mind games with him. Then he discovers that his name is actually Johnny, and everything he thought he knew was completely fabricated by his tormentors. This discovery leads to an epic confrontation between good and evil. Oh yeah, that was a great summary. I should make all of my summaries like back blurbs.
Review: This was amazing! The non-stop action and heart-attack-inducing suspense were perfectly balanced with all the plot twists and conspiracies. I loved it! It was a fantastic read! Although, it was a very political and that's not really my thing, but it was still great! What else is there to say? Hm. I don't think there is anything. Oh well.

Buzz Buzz, I'm An Alien!
Hello world! You're not going to believe this - but Bryan Davis actually COMMENTED on the post before this one. See, I told you you wouldn't believe it! THE Bryan Davis, whose books I have reviewed, not only looked at my blog, but commented on it as well! WITH a smiley face! Oh my gosh. I feel so happy! But now, on to more pressing matters: aliens.
So, yesterday at 5:31 PM I read the last words of The Assault by Brian Falkner. I briefly contemplated reviewing it yesterday, but ended up not doing that in favor of eating a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. But in a way, I did review this book yesterday, because I thought through everything I was going to type. So, no hard feelings? Anyways, if you would like to own this book, try clicking here. One more thing that I forgot to mention earlier and am not just going to stick up somewhere in this paragraph because I like spontaneous-ism, it's book one in the Recon Team Angel series.
Summaryish: So, um, you know, aliens attacked the Earth. It happens. But more than just that happened, teenagers are being recruited to fight in the war against them, before they turn 18, because the aliens are small, and kids are small, and they want to modify the kids to look like aliens so that they can infiltrate the alien compound and discover all of their dirty little secrets. That basic overview is all I can say without giving away the secrets, like the fact that their is a traitor in the team. So. Yeah. This paragraph just ended.
Review: This book was alright. I mean, I liked it, it was a good story and all, but it was very militant, which I didn't like very much. I guess I'm just not a military kind of person, although I did enjoy learning all the code words. It was a little hard to focus when I was reading this book, and I found my attention wandering quite a bit. Mostly to the cake that was in the kitchen and how good it would taste if it were in my mouth at that very second. But, as aforementioned, it was a good book. Not quite my favourite, but I didn't gouge out my eyes in boredom and misery when I was reading it, either. So, just...alright. But, hey, you might like it, so give it a try. And, okay, whoa, there is definitely a car alarm going off somewhere near here.

Hello world! It's been awhile! At least two days, at most four. But let's meet in the middle and say three. Whoa, after actually checking, it really has been three days! I am the champ at guessing! Okay, you caught me, I knew it had been three days the whole time. I have good news! According to Zoraida Cordova's website, her next book will be called...wait for it...The Vast And Brutal Sea ! I'm really excited, even though I haven't read the second novel in the trilogy yet. And one more thing for this paragraph, I'm entering a contest and I need your help! At least this blog's help. So, I recently read a book called Firestorm by David Klass. It is book one in the Caretakers Trilogy (yay!) I've never read a David Klass before, but we'll talk about his first impression later. Right now I'm just going to give you a little Amazon link to go. Wow, this is a short paragraph. I wonder if Bryan Davis is reading this. Hello Bryan!

I'm kidding, I didn't write any notes, but I still could use a second to work up a convincing summary that won't give away the secrets, of which there are many, of the book. Okay. I'm ready. Are you ready? I hope so, because I'm beginning in 3....2....1...Now. This book is all about this guy, named Jack, and how his whole life is turned upside down when he finds out people are hunting him down, trying to kill him. But for what reason? His is doomed not to know because the people who do know think he can't handle the truth! But, with the help of some friends that may or may not be trustworthy, he kind of just goes through life, saves the world, hangs out, fights some people. You know, everyday teenage stuff. Or at least ordinary teenage in my genre. Do you think Bryan Davis is still reading this? I hope so.
Review: Okay! Wow! This book was am-a-zzzzing. I enjoyed almost every single bit of it! But, I do have to say that the "pace making sentence fragments" got old REALLY quickly. I almost couldn't handle, but I powered through, and am completely happy that I did, because this book was great. But this is coming from the anonymous book reviewer who almost never comes across an un-liked book. But all previous reviews aside, this book was simply wonderful. I devoured every word. I wonder if Bryan Davis is still sticking around?

I Love Multi-Plot Books!
Hello world! It is lovely to see you again! I hope you're having a fantastic day full of books and reading and words and all kinds of prepositional phrases! Remember my last post when I said I knew nothing about the book I was reading next? Well, I know oodles about it now and I'm ready to review it! So here I go!
So, earlier today I finished reading this book called Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan, but oddly enough, she spells her name amy kathleen ryan on her book, but the title of the book is all caps, what's up with that? It probably wasn't her idea, though, the jacket designer probably came up with it. Anyways, it's the first in the Sky Chasers trilogy, next up: Spark. I'll bet you're just dying to purchase everything I review, so click here for this books Amazon link!
Summaryish: Ummm...there are some pretty big secrets going on here, I'm not quite sure what all I should give away. Hmm. I think it just might be safe to say something along the lines of: Two ships are launched out into space to find and colonize a New Earth after our Earth gets too awful to inhabit. And apparently, space causes fertility issues, and you can't populate a New Earth with fertility issues. But one ship solves that issue, and doesn't share how with the other ship, so Ship 2 gets jealous and attacks Ship 1 and kidnaps all the young girls. Now, that's all I can say. Have fun reading it. Wait, I should have said that first, we're at the end of the paragraph now.
Review: This was a great book! I really super enjoyed it! It was fast paced, and full of conspiracies and secrets and people under suspicion! Plus, it had a great plot, and nice characters! There were good guys, and bad guys, and bad guys who were kind of good guys, and even a little bit of neutral characters! Very fun! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, and the one after that. I might be sad when it's over though. Ending a good series is always tragic. The only thing I didn't really understand was the title, what does the word glow have to do with anything? The stars or something?

Every Once In A While, I Get Title Writer's Block.
Hey world! Bad news: I have relapsed back into my depression. Well, it's not quite depression, but it's definitely sadness. I allowed myself to listen to the Artemis Fowl theme song!! I'll admit it, I almost cried. The Eoin Colfer Boycott continues. Anyways, I think it's time to change the subject, I'm getting sad again. Reviewing time!
So, I just finished this book called Exodus by Julie Bertagna. And, great news that I just discovered, it's part of a series!! The next book is Zenith and the one after that, yet to be published, is Aurora. Nothing much else to say except that you will find the Amazon link somewhere around here. But be careful! It's really super hidden. Okay, I'm moving on to the next paragraph now, you can stick around here in this paragraph as long as you want, though.
Summaryish: Okay, this book is kind of going to be hard to summarize, there are plenty of spoilers that could be given away by a single carelessly misplaced word. But I'll try. So it's a future world, and the ice caps are melting. Actually, that's not true, the ice caps have melted. And most of the world is just ocean, there are a few islands, but those, too, are rapidly disappearing. And in comes Mara, who lives on one of those sinking islands, and she tries to convince her whole island that refuge lies in the New World, a series of floating cities Mara heard about on the Weave, or the future internet. Okay, that's all I can say.
Review: Wow! This book was great, it definitely kept me captivated until the very end, but it wasn't much of a page turner. The book was exciting and actiony and gave a glimpse into a very likely future, but it was also written kind of poetically, it was like listening to a song to read it, and I really really loved that! Let me think, is there something else I can say? I don't think so, I'm pretty sure I got it all out.

Now I Want To Live On The Moon. Someone Take Me There Or I'll Throw A Fit!!
Hey everyone! Okay, I have been slacking up a storm. Or at least a gentle rain shower. I was supposed to blog 3 DAYS AGO! But on Saturday, it was 5:02 when I remembered, and late 7:41, and I was like, eh, I will until tomorrow. But then on Sunday, I was out, then reading, then writing, then sleeping and it was too late. But here I am today so that's good news! Let's jump into it!
So, I just finished this book a few days ago by the name of Crater by Homer Hickam It is the first in the Helium-3 trilogy, and we all know how awesome series of all lengths are! Round of applause to Homer for figuring that out and planning accordingly! Oh, and, little secret just between us, you can buy it here. Wow. This is a short paragraph.
Summaryish: So, in this, the first book in the Helium-3 trilogy, we meet a nice little guy named Crater, who lives on the moon, and mines it for energy along with all the other people. So he's just living it up for a while, he really likes his job, his friends, and stuff, but then he's sent on a mission by the guy who's in charge. During this mission, he must battle people of both the human race, and other species to complete what he is told to do. So, along with his gillie, he does just that. Or tries to at least. Will he make it? Will he fail? And what adventures lie for him on the way? Oh yeah. I am an expert at building suspense.
Review: This was so great! At first, though, I was a little like "Eh, this is a lot of description, which is normally good, but it's like, really super factual." But then later, I was like "Huh. This factual description is kind of relaxing and actually pleasant." Then I was like, "SNAP! Don't chapter break here! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!" But then, even later, I was saying. "Waa. Why don't I have the next book yet?" But then I got the news that a book I had on hold at the library was in, and I felt better. So, all-in-all, A+ rating, it was brilliantly written, surprisingly un-hackneyed and fresh, and...what's the word? Melodious? Can a book be melodious? Well, if it can, this one definitely was.

Crater: Awesome name, dude.

I Want To Fly So Badly!!!!
Hello everybody!!! Nice to see you! I was just thinking about books, and how awesome they are, how much I love them, and I remembered that I should probably review the one I just finished! So here I am, blogging. I really like blogging. It's fun. But, of course, the only reason I do it is for you - so you don't read bad books, so you do read the good ones. Everything I do on this blog is with you in mind. Okay, sentimental moment over, book time!
So I just finished a book called Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by best-selling author James Patterson. I've reviewed every book in the series so far, that latest of which you can find by clicking here, but since this is only the third in the Maximum Ride series, there's not that many other posts to look at. Anyways, if you would like to own this novel, you can buy it on Amazon right here. This paragraph is getting boring, so I'm going to end it now.
Summaryish: I'm not going to tell you about how Max, Fang, and the rest of the flock are running for their lives yet again by Eraser-Robots. I'm also not going to tell you about Fang's blog, which is kicking up quite the raucous. I'm not even going to tell you about the flock getting captured once again. No. I won't tell you any of that because it would be WAY to spoilerific. And we all know I'm against spoilers. But what I WILL tell you is that there are bunches of plot twists, shocks, and surprises that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Review: Okay, because I made a solemn vow to honestly give an unbiased review, I must say I was a little disappointed. It's like the longer this series goes on, the more unbelievable and harder to take seriously it gets. It's almost as if this book is sliding down into the dusty realm of too-much-make-believe. It's getting harder to daydream about sprouting wings and taking to the skies. I don't know why though, that's just what it feels like. But I did enjoy reading it, it was a great book! In fact, I loved it! I'm just worried that the next book in the series will feel a little too...I don't even know the word. Oh, I know! Maybe it's getting a little too scientifically improbable, you know, for a science fiction book.

I Have A Weakness For Talking Animals.
Hey everyone! It's been soooooo long since I last posted! I'm sorry! But I wanted to hold back so that I could post today! Because today is a very special day!!!! For two reasons!!! One: Wayne Thomas Batson's trilogy The Door Within was re-released TODAY! Also: Zoriada Cordova's second book The Savage Blue was released TODAY! See how special today is? VERY! I'm so excited for both of those things!
So, I just finished this book called The Prophet, the Shepherd, and the Star by Jenny L. Cote. It is the first in The Epic Order of the Seven series, but that series shoots off of The Amazing Tales of Max and Liz, so in short, it's the third book involving Max and Liz, canine and feline duo of wonder! Would you like some Amazon? Yes, please! Okay, this paragraph is over.
Summaryish: Okay, this book is pretty easy to summarize, there weren't that many conspiracies or secrets. It was just about Max, Liz, Nigel, Kate and Al on their third mission for the Maker, and their longest mission yet! It spans 700 years, from the prophet Isaiah alllll that way to the wise men. So you know, the nativity scene: Not just for Christmas anymore. That's pretty much it...
Review: I liked this book a lot! During some places it was a little boring because nothing happened, they were just waiting and eating and sleeping and talking, but other parts had me riveted! I especially liked how there was a lot of humour in the story, like when the animals were naming the constellations and saying "it would never catch on!" Good times, fond memories. Wow this is probably going to be a really short post.
