Howdy everybody! This is like, my 11th post! Can you believe that? It feels like just yesterday I was criticizing Shylock's need for flesh. Tear. This blog is growing up so fast. I just can't believe it! Well, actually I can, but still it's impressive.
So anyways, this morning I finished this awesome book during breakfast called Blue Noon by Scott Westerfeld book three of the Midnighters series, and I'm pretty sure this is the last one. It was only kind of set up for another, so there might be one, but most likely not. So instead of series, I should have said maybe-trilogy.
Summaryish: Okay, this is the third in a maybe-trilogy, so this will be a skimpy summary to avoid spoilers. But hey, that's why it's called a summaryish. The first book was about Jessica moving to Bixby Oklahoma and discovering that she is one of five midnighters who parole a secret hour that is contained in a single moment of real-time. They all have special talents, Seer, Mindcaster, Acrobat, Polymath. (I like to think of myself as a Polymath ;)) But Jessica doesn't seem to fit in- she has no talent. And then a whole bunch of cat-like creatures who created the secret hour to escape hunting humans try to kill her. That much I can give away. The second book continues after she has discovered her talent and the creatures leave her alone for a while, until they get nervous and attack her again. That much I can give away too. But the third one is so full of secrets and surprises I don't know how much is safe! Let's just say that the secret hour is expanding on Halloween (Why is it always Halloween?) to a full day of blue time...This is bad because the creatures eat humans and everyone, not just the midnighters, will be sucked into the mysterious purple time. Yup!
Reviewish: Geez Louis, I stayed up past midnight for this...Well, I would have, but lights-out was called while I was epilogueing and I had to wait until breakfast to finish it!!! It's okay though, because in the 10 hours between lights-out and breakfast, all the flavours of this book combined on my tongue to make the last half of the epilogue better. It has something for everyone too! Car chases, math, mind-reading, everything. It was also interesting to see the changes in Rex after the incident of book 2!! Animal instincts in humans = awesome!!!! The ending really tied it all together, it all just fit . Hang on to your underwear when you're reading this one, it'll blow you away!
Words for the characters:
Jessica: Wow. I would never be able to keep something from my sister that long. I'm coming to you with all my secrets from now on! If I ever have one. And if I somehow break into midnight, what with the rip fading and all.
Rex: You are so interesting in this last book! Congratulations on controlling yourself! No offense, but I like you better in this book, I'm not sure why.
Melissa: I named the light-up doe in our yard after you! I also named the buck after Rex because you guys are all "together". P.S. If you try to stop listening in on peoples thoughts, they might like you better!
Dess: You're my favorite! (don't tell the others). Math is great, isn't it? I can play Pi on the piano, you know. I wish I could do math like you, but I'm stuck with a calculator. I named it Surreptitious.
Jonathan: I hope I spelled your name right. I wish I had your talent, it sounds so fun! I've always wanted to fly!! Or at least reverse gravity! You remind me of this one person in a different book, Simon Bloom, maybe you know him? He's the Gravity Keeper.
There you have it! My review and stuff! I'm not a very good blogger am I? What are you supposed to do on a book review blog anyway? If you have any suggestions for me, just comment them! Bye!

Why? Because he's _Stronger_ than you.
Hey all!! How's it going? Well, you're checking my blog, so it's probably really boring. Anyways, can you believe Christmas is so far away? I mean, why can't time speed up from December 1-23 and then slow back down on the 24 so the tension can build, and then almost completely stop on the 25 so Christmas lasts forever? I mean, it's night outside at five o'clock these days, by definition, day's should be quicker. But here's some hopefulness in the words of good ol' Alby E...equals MC^2. "The distinction between past, present, and future is an illusion, but a very persistent one." So maybe time really will speed up.
So I just finished this book called Stronger by Michael Carroll book three of the Super Human series, which is a companion to the New Heroes series. I'm thinking this is the last one, but with Micheal you never know. It might be only the beginning. Random Comment: You better be writing a New Heroes book, clones excite me, dude! You don't want me to go on a rampage and dishonestly critique your books!!! I'm kidding, I try to never lie.
Summaryish: Okay, time to summarize, I think I can do it this time because this is a little bit of a stand alone in the series. This book is about the superhuman Brawn, you know, the big blue guy with no pupils and irises? Well, it talks about his history, how he came about, what he's doing now, and everything in between. It's kind of like an autobiography that's still being written!! I don't know how else to summarize it because it has a plot, but a whole bunch of different stories. You know what I mean?
Review: Woopee! The review part is my favorite! I am so ready to tear this book a part!! I'm kidding, I'm a positive reviewist. Unless I don't like the book. Then you better watch out (you better not cry, you better not pout I'm telling you why....). I really super liked this book!!! I like how it was then and now, how things weren't chronological but in a way that made sense. It really fills in a lot about this misunderstood character Brawn, and kind of pushes you from disliking Max Dalton to really disliking Max Dalton. Anyways. At times, it got really deep and brought on a new perspective about life. But most of the time it was just a whole bunch of fights and guns. But here's the great part about Michael Carroll: It's not all blood and guts with him, it's about the preservation of life. At least, that's what I got from it. Lastly, I loved how this book was so balanced. Just enough fights mixed with just enough despair, and sprinkled with a heaping teaspoon of science fiction, all baked together until golden brown. Yummy.
Words to the characters:
Brawn: Your story is so touching in a bang pow kind of way, that I can't decide whether to hug you or run away. Either way, thanks for being nice despite your monstrosity and situation.
Harmony: I'm not talking to you....
Max: STAY OUT OF MY MIND!!!!!! If you get near me, I'm calling Brawn...
Michael Carroll: When is the next New Heroes book, I'm dying over here!!!!
That's all for today, tune in next time for a Scott Westerfeld!!!!

Here Fishie Fishie!
Okay, this post is going to be really quick, because it's almost dinner time, and it's not about a book.
I got a fish tank!!!!! You can see them over there -------------------------------->
They were inspired by my fellow blogger Peanut Butter Girl, author of Mirandomness. (Hey, Peanut Butter Girl!!! How's your game coming!?) Like hers, my adorable little fishes have names.
The red one is named Blinkey, the white one is filling in for Pinkey (Blogger doesn't have a pink color!) the blue is Inky, the orange equals Clyde, and the yellow one is named Pacman. If you haven't guessed already, they are named after the characters in the hit arcade game "Pacman" If you watch them long enough, Blinkey, Pinkey, Inky, and Clyde will change color to blue, and Pacman will eat them! Oh, you can also feed them their food if you click on them. I would appreciate it if you did, I don't want my babies getting skinny!

P.S. How long did you look at my fish before you realized I was lying when I said they would change colour? Comment that, I really want to know!

I Was Lying When I Said I Don't Read "Files" Books.
Bonjour on! Comment ça va? Je veux écrire en français aujourd'hui, mais tu ne comprends pas, n'est ce pas? I'll finish this in English, the less Google Translate the better. Google is taking over the world you know. And I'm helping them, but I guess that's kind of okay because their products are really great! Sooo, yeah, that's my introductory paragraph.
Okay, by the title you can logically conclude that this review is about a "files" book. It is called I am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Legacies by Pittacus Lore, file to the I Am Number Four series, book one: I Am Number Four. Book two: The Power of Six. Book three: The Rise of Nine. I can't wait for the next one! We haven't met five yet, and his/her story is driving me insane because I don't know it!!! Oh my gosh I can't wait!!! I would shriek shrilly, but you wouldn't be able to hear me.
Summaryish: Today I think it's okay to tell you the summary because it's a file, and thus is supposed to be a spoiler. Okay, it's divided into three parts, Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy, and The Fallen Legacies. Six's legacy is about her nomadic past and her love/hate relationship with Katerina, her Cêpan. It also details on her months spent captive in a Mogadorian base, her developing her first and second legacies, and how she discovered where to find Four. Nine's Legacy talks about Nine and how he falls in love with a pretty girl, but it turns out she is a Mogadorian captive person and she turns him over for her parents. (Sorry spoiler!) And then it talks about Nine's captivity and the shocking death of his Cêpan. The last part is the best in my opinion! All three stories were written in the first person, and this one was from the perspective of a Mogadorian General's young son, and his connection with the three dead Garde, specifically One. (Mogadorian Mind Meld!!!! Ahhh!)
Review: There is no possibly way I could portray the epicness of this book and it's series through words! You'll just have to read it in order discover the captivating adventure story of the Garde! Pittacus, you are a genius. Pretty close to good old AF, but just a smidgen shy of a tie. I adore the humanizing of the Mogadorians through the third part, it really makes you sympathize...with the Garde, not the Mogadorians. Except Adamus, he's pretty awesome.
Words for the Characters.
Six: The Mogadorians may have isolated, tortured, tried to kill you, murdured your Cêpan and...I forgot where I was going with this. Carry on.
Nine: The way you actually enjoy battles is disturbing. Try not laughing so much during a fight and maybe people like Four will like you more. Not that you're not awesome, your sense of humor rocks!
Adamus: I don't blame you for not standing up to your daddy, he's pretty intimidating. But he wouldn't have killed whats-his-face, the scientist dude, if he didn't at least have a tidbit of affection towards you. Okay, he probably would have, but he definitely wouldn't have let you slept for three years! P.S. Quit checking out One, she's dead, that's gross.
Okay. I'm done, you may now return to your regularly scheduled programme.

By The Way I Also Like Fantasy
Helloha everybody! I'm back for more!!! You expected that right? I've been trying to keep this whole air of mystery because this is an anonymous blog, but I don't think it's working. I also think most of my readers know who I am, which kind of defeats the purpose. Oh well, I like being anonymous so I'm going to keep at it.
I just finished a book called Lord Sunday by Garth Nix, book 7 of the Keys to the Kingdom series not too long ago. In fact, it hasn't even been an hour yet. It is the last book in a spellbinding series about a boy named Arthur Penhaligon (Suspiciously sounds like Arthur Pendragon if you ask me.) who has severe asthma. Seconds from death, he is rescued by a mysterious man named Mister Monday (not a good guy, just saying) and finds out he is the Heir to the Architect, and to claim his title (which he doesn't want) he must secure the 7 Keys from the evil Trustees in the House, which is a whole world that records our world. Wow, was that confusing?
Summaryish: I've been thinking about discontinuing this paragraph because most of the time I can't tell you what the book is about for spoiler reasons. The same is true now, I cannot tell you about the life threatening not-so-duel in this book because it is the last in a series, and it would inevitably give away the beginnings, middles, and ends of the previous books! I can't tell you about how the House is collapsing and being eaten away by Nothing, either. So I'm just wasting your time by writing this, but time is an illusion so it doesn't really matter.
Review: Terrific! Absolutely splendid!!! The first book in the series was fabulous, but the last was doubly so! The ones in between were great too, by the way. To give you a little taste of how riveting this book it, let me explain using other books. This series is in the same league as Artemis Fowl (keep in mind leagues can be big), but wouldn't stand a chance against something by Wayne Thomas Batson in a book off. It would, however, slaughter a Gordon Korman. Between this series and Scott Westerfeld, it would probably be a tie. I was glued to the pages! (Not literally, I could move my fingers and all that) I was reading well past midnight, but when Lights Out was called, I was like "COME ON!! I'm almost done!" (Not out loud, I was trying to be respectful out loud) So I had to wake myself up before Wake Up Time so I could finish the book before I had to get up.
Words for the Characters:
Arthur: You are a very likable person because you don't ignore your responsibility, so, well done. Also, your inner struggles brought a certain je ne sais quoi to the book (That means I don't know what in French, by the way).
Suzy Turquoise Blue: You crack me up!!! Comic relief is important, thanks for that!
Leaf: At first, I didn't like you much. I don't know why, I just didn't, but over time you grew on me chicka. The book wouldn't be the same without you.
Will: Jeez, would you lighten up!!! Life isn't just schedules and rules you know.
That's pretty much that. I don't really have anything else to say...so....Stay in school.

By Now You Can Probably Tell I Love Science Fiction, Right?
Ahoy mateys and welcome to my blog, we'RRRe going to have a fantastic post foRRRR you today!!! Sit back and RRRelax, but don't RRRelax too much, I do have a hook foRRR a hand you know. Arg. Anyways, how's life going for you? Read any good books lately? Comment them, please, because my book list is growing short. I'l review them for you if you do!!
So...Remember my last post where I said my next post would be in 4-6 days? Well, it's been 8. That's only because I forgot to review the book yesterday. That still would have been 7, but it's better than 8. Anyways, I finished The Map of Time by Felix J. Palma just a couple days ago, and now it's time to review it! I'm petty sure the companion novel is called The Map of the Sky, but it might just be another book by the same author and not a companion at all. Well, either way it would be a companion because I like to think all books by the same author get along, like cousins.
Summaryish: This is not even going to be a summary, just me rambling on about nothing whatsoever for two reasons. One: This book is indescribable! Two: If I even tell you one thing about the book, it would give away the whole thing! Which means that you are going to have to decided whether or not to read it based on my review and words to the characters alone. You're not even going to know what the book is about until you come across a more experienced blogger who doesn't mind giving away endings.
Review: Oh. My. Snap. Read this book. Just read it. Don't ask questions. Just read it. In my opinion, it's rated PG-13, and I will admit that I skipped a few of the grosser pats, but in this book it doesn't even matter because it was just that good. It was so well thought out and intertwined, throughout the entire novel I found myself saying "Gasp! It's real this time isn't it! No. Now? Oh snap it is! No...Yes! Finally! It is real! Did it really just end that way with it never existing?" Did I just give away the ending? I hope not. And the narrator! I love it when authors talk to the readers. Lemony Snicket, Pseudonymous Bosch, and now Felix J. Palma. Love ya guys!
Words for the characters.
Andrew: Darling, something bad may have happened, and that something may be the worst thing that could ever happen to you, but lift that chin and dry those tears! Tomorrow is always better. Especially in the morning when nothing bad has happened yet, and you just woke up so the bad memories of yesterday haven't been remembered yet. Look at the positives! Your cousin really loves you.
Herbert: I love your works, truly amazing. And don't worry, The Island of Doctor Moreau is great no matter what the critics say!
Captain Shackleton (Tommy): I don't like how you took advantage of Claire, but I do like how you tried to make it better, keep up the chivalry dude!
Yeah, I don't really want to talk to the rest of the characters, my poor little fingers are getting tired. So...yeah, that's kind of it...Bye, I guess.

I Don't Really Know What To Title This
Hey everyone!! It's Two For One Tuesday! Except it's Thursday, and you don't have to pay for this blog anyway. My most fanerific fans should know that I've already reviewed a book earlier today. But now I'm back for more because I finished another book! Have you ever tried to balance a pen on a ruler before? Very hard. (Don't ask--unless you cannot contain your curiosity.)
Sooo....I just finished a book called Operation Trinity by Clifford Riley. This book is part of "The Cahill Files" or one of the companion series in The 39 Clues. It's the first book and can be purchased...Here. Normally I don't read "files" books, but this one wasn't, like, "secrets of the series". It was more like the mashed potatoes to your steak. Or, more simply put, the applesauce in your kids' meal.
Summaryish: This book was following a Van Eyke masterpiece as it is guarded (and almost sliced up) by the Cahills in an attempt to safeguard it against the evil Vespers. It starts out waaay back when with this dude named Matthias. Then a few hundred years go by and Grace Cahill is trying to save it from a Nazi stolen art cave thing. Then just a couple decades later we join Ian and Natalie Kabra on their first mission...I'm not going to tell you about that for fear of spoilers. But I did say this book was following the painting, so maybe you can guess what the mission was. Or maybe not because their mission has nothing to do with the painting...Woops better stop my summaryish here...
Review: I love this part!!! This book was pretty short: Only 142 pages, but that doesn't mean it wasn't absolutely splendid! I kind of rushed through the first two parts because I was excited about the Ian and Natalie story (The Lucians are my favorite branch of the family. P.S. I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong) so I didn't really get "the full effect" of the first two parts, but it was still pretty awesome. My favorite part was the grappling hook incident!

Matthias: Chin up! The only reason your daddy is disappointed in you is because he has high expectations, and he only has high expectations because he loves you!
Grace: Yeah, I don't have any advice. You are a great roll model because you get the job done. Can't add much to that.
Ian: I think you would be a lot happier if you stopped listening to your mummy (In a respectful way) and start listening to your inner right and wrong meter-compass thingy. P.S. I love you and you sister's accents!!!
Cue fanfare, I'm done for the day!!!!! See y'all later for my next installment of So You Think You Want To Read That? Estimation: 4-6 days away (609 pages of novel are in my future!)

Dinosaurs, time travel, AND secret agencies? Bring it on.
Happy Today everybody!!! Can you believe it's been, like, four days since my last post? I blame daylight savings. It has messed up my whole schedule!!! Oh well. I'll get the hang of it. So, how's your reading been going? I hope I have helped you pick out some wonderful books! And this is just the beginning! Wait until there's a million posts! Then you'll be able to read all the books I recommend and never have to socialize to get new titles. I'm getting the weirdest feeling that you actually socialize for more than just books...Well, here's another book anyway.
I recently finished a book called The Day of the Predator by Alex Scarrow of the TimeRiders series book 2 of 7(?) I think it might still be in the authing, so maybe there are more than 7 books in the series. You might want to read the first one first though( TimeRiders), that would make this one make a lot more sense.
I'm going to summarize now!: Okay, I should probably say a little bit about the first book. The first book in the series was all about how three teenagers from different times were rescued by an old man seconds from death. Liam from the Titanic (always need a little Titanic in a time travel book ). Maddy from a plane crash in 2010. And Sal from a fire in 2026. then they had to go and correct time, along with there support unit Bob, from this dude who changed history because apparently he thought it would be better if Hitler won WWII. Oh, and then something else bad happens and New York turns into a mutant-infested radioactive wasteland. Oh yeah.
So the second book is about how the inventor of time travel is the object of an assassination attempt, and when Liam and the new support unit, Becks, try to save him, there's an explosion. They and a group of students and teachers are thrown waaaay back in time allllll the way to dinosaur times. But here's the dramatic thing: There are these highly intelligent dinosaur things learning how to use spears and make fire and stuff...the resulting time wave = a jungle New York full of these dinosaur things that have replaced man.
Reviewing time!!!!: This book was pretty okay. I mean, it had a great story line, it was interesting, it made sense, and was overall a fantastic read! But, I don't know, it's like you come to expect people getting killed and then it's not suspenseful anymore. Don't get me wrong, I loved the book!!! But maybe a little less being lured away to your death, and a little more living to fight another day would be a good thing. P.S. It's not too graphic so the squeamish need not be afraid.
Words for the characters.
Becks: Thanks for downloading some humor files! They make you much more fun to be around than Bob! (But Bob is cool too.)
Maddy: Bad words are not as cool as you'd like to think, try practicing not saying them.
Sal: I like your hair, who did it?
Liam: Don't worry, the white streak makes you look more distinguished.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. Join me next time for a little aftermath-of-a-scavenger-hunt!!!!!!!!! See you then!!!!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...girl
Hey y'all! Fantastic day we're having isn't it? I'm breathing, was reading, who could ask for more? News flash: It's officially the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!!!! I've seen three Christmas commercials! Only 53 more days!! I could probably read 21-30 books in that time depending on the length and interest-level. I should probably get started now!
Sooooo I just finished Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. I thought about it almost the entire time I was folding my laundry. I discovered only one thing: Stargirl reminds me of me. Next to an "ordinary" person I'm very "unusual" but next to Stargirl, I'm the one who's ordinary. Maybe there's a little Stargirl in everyone. If everyone is different, how can anyone be ordinary after all?
Summaryish: So the book is narrated in the second person by this guy named Leo. He collects porcupine neckties and likes to sleep with the moon shining on him. So when this new girl comes to the school, after being homeschooled her entire life, everything changes. You know why? Because Stargirl showed up in a pioneer dress with a ukulele and a rat. She dances in the rain, cheers for both teams at any sports event, and genuinely cares about others. But not everyone likes her and a lot of people try to change her.
Review: Oh, Mr. Spinelli you've done it again. Pretty great book in my opinion. I can never look at the world the same way again. No seriously. I'm going to have to change my entire life-style for the better just because I read this one book. It was super amazing! The way it was told was unique and intriguing. There weren't any explosions, but the book may have actually been better for the lack of said explosions.
Words for the characters:
Stargirl: Rock on. Just...rock on.
Everyone else: You could learn a lot from Stargirl. Caring about others is the best way to care for yourself! Smiling actually does improve your health you know. It's been scientifically proven. Look a little closer at everything around you, the big things may be big, but they are made of the little things.
So yeah that's my review of Stargirl There's a sequel titled Love, Stargirl I will most likely get it as soon as possible! Unless I forget, which may happen.

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! Wait, no it's not. It's The Dead and the Gone!
Hey everyone! Wow, can you believe it's already been, like, four days since my first post? It seems like it was just yesterday that I was being grossed out by Shylock's want for human flesh. And now here we are more than a half a week later talking about the end of the world. Well I'm typing and you're reading.
So at 12:54 this morning I closed The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer and laid it on the top of my "done" pile. I thought all about the book for the seven minutes between when I finished it and when my radio began playing this gorgeous nocturne by Johann Strauss and I was too distracted to continue my musings. While I was thinking I discovered two things, one: I would be a great person to have around at the end of the world because I've read so many books about that very thing and know how to survive. And two: I like sleeping without pillows underneath my head.
Summaryish: So this is the second book in what I believe is a trilogy, the first book Life as We Knew It, was about a girl named Marina in Pennsylvania trying to survive after an asteroid hits our dear friend the moon and knocks it out of orbit. This is not good because it messes up the gravitational pull and causes tidal waves, floods, volcanic eruptions and all kind of problems. But the ash from all the volcanoes blots out the sun and all the crops fail and there is mass chaos!!!! The second book, which I just finished, was pretty much the same thing except it was about Peurto Rican New Yorker Alex Morales and his sisters. But since New York is near the ocean it's even more dangerous for him than it was for Marina!
Review: Woohoo! My favorite part! I thought this book was great!!! I liked how it was so real and scientifically plausible. Although I do think it would take a lot more than an asteroid to upset the moon's orbit. Gravity beats asteroid any day! Anyway, back to my review. My favorite part was when the tree branch fell. It was so fitting! (When you read the book you'll know what I'm talking about.) If I could change anything, I would make it just a touch faster, it starts out slow and your heart only gets pumping every once in while. But I have to admit, while you're reading this you'll be happy you are, but when you stop to, like, eat and do work and stuff, you won't get anything done because you'll be worrying about the characters!!!!!
Words for the characters:
Alex; lighten up! I know it's the end of the world and you're starving and your sisters are depending on you and all, but that doesn't mean you can't at least smile at Julie once in a while. She needs your moral support because teenage years are fragile, and the world just shattered them. And it does seem that you like Bri better...
Julie; In the words of Lemony Snicket: "When someone has disappointed you, [...], it is often difficult to decide whether to continue their acquaintance, even if the disappointers have done noble things in the meantime. There are some who say that you should forgive everyone, even the people who have disappointed you immeasurably. There are others who say you should not forgive anyone, and should stomp off in a huff no matter how many times they apologize. Of these two philosophies, the second one is of course much more fun, but it can also grow exhausting to stomp off in a huff every time someone has disappointed you, as everyone disappoints everyone eventually, and one can’t stomp off in a huff every minute of the day.”
Give your feet a break, girlie, and give your brother a chance to correct himself.
Bri; Your faith is outstanding! Up until the very end you kept on believing in God and that kept you going! Rock on!
Kevin; Thanks for the comic relief, I really appreciated it. Too much drama can make your stomach clench.
I'm pretty excited about the next book! I'm going to get it just as soon as the library has it available! Something is telling me Alex and Marina are going to meet up in the thrilling conclusion...Correction: that something was my fantastic aunt when she told me about this series.
